Ohio Issues Withholding Updates Effective July 1

Ohio’s withholding methods were updated effective July 1, the state taxation department said May 31.

In both the percentage method and optional computer formula, the highest tax rate used decreased to 3.8%, from of 4.41%, but no other changes were made.

In both methods, the value of a state allowance remained $650 annually. The state’s supplemental tax rate is set by a regulation and remained 3.5%.
