Oklahoma’s unemployment-taxable wage base is to be higher in 2022 than in 2021, a spokeswoman for the state Employment Security Commission said Oct. 29.
Effective Jan. 1, 2022, the wage base is to be $24,800, up from $24,000 in 2021, the spokeswoman told Bloomberg Tax in an email.
Unemployment tax rates are not to change for 2022, the department said on its website. For 2022, Conditional Factor D is to be in effect and tax rates for experienced employers are to range from 0.3% to 7.5%.
