Oregon released its unemployment insurance and family-leave insurance rates and wages bases for 2024 in a Nov. 15 news release from the state Employment Department.
Unemployment Insurance
The unemployment insurance tax rates for 2024 will be determined using Schedule 3, according to the news release. The tax rates in Schedule 3 range from 0.9% to 5.4%, under state law. In comparison, Oregon’s tax rates for 2023 are determined using Schedule 2, which has rates ranging from 0.7% to 5.4%.
The tax rate for new employers will increase to 2.4%, up from 2.1% in 2023, according to the news release. ...
