Oregon Creates Labor Division to Help Employers, Limit Penalties

Oregon is creating a new division within its Bureau of Labor and Industries to help employers comply with state labor laws, under a bill signed May 7.

The newly formed Employer Assistance Division will educate, train, and provide guidance to employers, under HB 2248. Its creation serves as an expansion of the bureau’s current Employer Assistance program.
