Oregon Minimum Wage Rates Increasing by 50 Cents Effective July 1

Oregon’s three minimum wage rates are increasing by 50 cents on July 1, according to an update on the Bureau of Labor and Industries website.

The hourly minimum wage will rise to $15.95 from $15.45 in the Portland metro area and to $13.70 from $13.20 in nonurban counties. The standard minimum wage rate, which applies to the rest of the state, will increase to $14.70 from $14.20, according to the update.

The bureau’s website contains a map that employers can use to determine the minimum wage that applies to them and their employees.
