Oregon Requires Statewide Transit Tax Reporting on Forms W-2

An Oregon rule requiring employers to report statewide transit tax withheld on Forms W-2, effective starting with tax year 2019, was published in the Oregon Bulletin Jan. 2.

The rule (150-316-0359) requires statewide transit tax withheld to be reported in Box 14 of Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement, using the code ORSTT W/H.

Both the statewide transit tax annual return, Form OR-STT-A, Oregon Annual Statewide Transit Tax Withholding Return, and the annual reconciliation for income tax withholding, Form OR-WR, Oregon Annual Withholding Tax Reconciliation Report, must be filed electronically by Jan. 31, also effective starting with tax year 2019, ...
