Oregon Transit Tax Rates to Increase in 2022

Two Oregon local transit payroll taxes administered by the state are to have their rates increase for 2022, the state revenue department said.

The Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District (Tri-Met) tax rate is to increase to 0.7937%, from 0.7837%, and the Lane County Mass Transit District (LTD) tax rate is to increase to 0.77%, from 0.76%, the department said on its website.

The taxes are assessed on wages paid to employees working in the Tri-Met or Lane County districts. The Tri-Met district includes parts of Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties in the Portland area. The Lane County district includes the ...
