Pennsylvania Strengthens State-Contract Labor Law Compliance

Pennsylvania employers must adhere to state labor and workforce safety requirements or lose contract eligibility, under an executive order issued Oct. 21 by Gov. Tom Wolf (D).

The executive order (E.O. 2021-06) became effective immediately.

Government-funded vendors are to be advised by relevant state agencies that they are expected to comply with state labor and workforce safety laws and may face penalties for violations that could affect state contract eligibility, the executive order said.
