The per diem rate for travel in the continental United States is to increase in fiscal 2019, the General Services Administration said Aug. 14.
Starting Oct. 1, 2018, the standard per diem rate is to increase to $149 from $144 in fiscal 2018. The lodging allowance is to increase to $94 from $93, and the meals and incidental expense allowance is to increase to $55 from $51.
The per diem rate for an area is made up of allowances for lodging, meals and incidental expenses. The allowance for incidental expenses in 2019 is $5, unchanged from 2018.
