Petaluma, California, Minimum Wage Increasing to $17.97 for 2025

The hourly minimum wage in Petaluma, California, will rise to $17.97 from $17.45 effective Jan. 1, 2025, according to the city’s website.

Petaluma’s learners wage, which applies to employees ages 14 to 17 for the first 160 hours of employment, will increase to $15.30 from $14.85, according to the website. Employers may only pay the learners wage to employees if the workers have no experience in their occupation.

The city released an official notice on the minimum wage but has yet to release an updated minimum wage poster. The notice is available in English and Spanish.
