Portugal’s autonomous regions of the Azores and Madeira increased their monthly minimum wages effective Jan. 1, 2023, their governments said.
Madeira’s minimum wage increased to 785 euros (US$836.72) per month, up from 723 euros in 2022, a regional legislative decree (Portuguese) published in the country’s gazette Feb. 14 said.
The Azores’ minimum wage increased to 798 euros per month, up from 740.25 euros in 2022, the regional government said on its website (Portuguese).
Mainland Portugal’s monthly minimum wage is 760 euros in 2023.
