Effective Jan. 1, 2019, tax rates for the Québec Parental Insurance Plan (QPIP) are to decrease, the government of the Canadian province of Québec said Aug. 16 in a news release (French).
Québec employees are to be assessed a QPIP rate of 0.526 percent for 2019, down from 0.548 percent for 2018. Québec employers are to be assessed a QPIP rate of 0.736 percent of employee salary, down from 0.767 percent for 2018.
