Rhode Island’s hourly minimum wage is to rise to $11.50 from $10.50 on Oct. 1, 2020, under a bill signed March 10 by Gov. Gina Raimondo (D).
The new wage took effect with her signing the measure (2020-S 2147A, 2020-H 7157A).
The hourly minimum wage is $11 in neighboring Connecticut and $12.75 in Massachusetts.
