Romania’s monthly and hourly minimum wages will increase July 1, the country’s government said March 13.
The monthly minimum wage will increase to 4,325 lei (US$970.97), up from 4,050 lei, according to a decision published in the country’s gazette (Romanian). The hourly equivalent is 25.949 lei based on 166.667 hours worked per month, up from 24.496 lei based on 165.334 hours worked per month, the decision said.
The increase is the first since Jan. 1, 2025.
