Several California Cities to Raise Minimum Wage Rates for 2021

Several California cities in the San Francisco Bay area, including Los Altos, Petaluma, Palo Alto, San Mateo, and San Jose, have released their minimum wage rates for 2021.

Effective Jan. 1, 2021, the rate is set to rise from:

  • $15.40 to $15.65 per hour in the city of Los Altos;
  • $15.40 to $15.65 per hour in the city of Palo Alto;
  • $15.25 to $15.45 per hour in the city of San José;
  • $15.38 to $15.62 per hour in the city of San Mateo; and
