Sierra Leone’s monthly minimum wage increased effective April 1, a notice published in the country’s gazette said.
The minimum wage increased to 800 leones (US$40.65) per month, up from 600, the notice said.
In 2022, Sierra Leone redenominated the leone to remove three zeros from amounts. Before the redenomination, the monthly minimum wage was 600,000 leones.
