Slovakia is to increase its national monthly minimum wage to 580 euros (U.S. $641.32) for 2020, up 11.5% from 520 euros (U.S. $574.97) for 2019.
The increase was supported by Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini, the News Agency of the Slovak Republic, an entity established by law, said in an article (Slovak) posted to the website of the Government Office of the Slovak Republic. The increase of 11.5% for 2020 exceeds the increase of 8.3% for 2019, when the national monthly minimum wage rose to 520 euros from the 2018 level of 480 euros (U.S. $530.74).
