Several Ohio municipalities appeared to pass local income tax rate changes in Nov. 3 elections, unofficial election results showed.
Municipal tax rate changes for 2021 included:
- Edon, in Williams County, to 1.75% from 1.5%, effective Jan. 1;
- Jackson, in Jackson County, a new 1.5% tax, effective Jan. 1;
- Lancaster, in Fairfield County, to 2.2% from 1.75%, effective Jan. 1;
- Middletown, in Butler County, to 2% from 1.75%, effective Jan. 1;
- Timberlake, in Lake County, to 2% from 1%, effective Jan. 1; and
- Toledo, in Lucas County, to 2.5% from 2.25%, effective Jan. 1.
