The South African Revenue Service updated domestic per diem and travel allowances under several notices published in the country’s gazette Feb. 28 ahead of the March 1 start of its new tax year.
Domestic per diem rates increased to 176 rand (US$9.61) for incidental costs or 570 rand for both meals and incidental costs, up from 169 or 548 rand, the agency said.
