South Dakota’s hourly minimum wage is expected to rise to $11.20 from $10.80, and the hourly tipped minimum wage is expected to rise to $5.60 from $5.40 effective Jan. 1, 2024, according to Bloomberg Tax calculations.
The calculations were based on statutory requirements and federal Bureau of Labor Statistics data released Sept. 13.
The state labor and regulation department is required to announce the adjusted minimum wage rate by Oct. 15.
