Spain Publishes 2023 Minimum Wage

Spain’s 2023 minimum wage decree was published in the country’s gazette Feb. 15.

The decree (Spanish) sets the 2023 monthly minimum wage at 1,080 euros (US$1,154.44), up from 1,000 euros. The daily minimum wage increased to 36 euros, from 33.33 euros. The decree is retroactively effective to Jan. 1.

Additionally, the daily minimum wage for casual and seasonal workers including bonuses and weekend and holiday pay increased to 51.15 euros, from 47.36 euros, the decree said. The hourly minimum wage for domestic workers increased to 8.45 euros, from 7.82 euros.
