Spain’s Labor Ministry Releases Interim Minimum Wage Guidance

Spain’s Ministry of Labour and Social Economy issued guidance Jan. 23 addressing the country’s minimum wage until a final value for 2025 is determined.

Spain’s minimum wage decrees are in effect for one year at a time and must be replaced before the end of the year or have their validity extended. Royal Decree-Law No. 9/2024 (Spanish), published Dec. 24, included a provision extending the validity of the 2024 minimum wage until one for 2025 is determined.
