The Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance wage base is projected to increase by nearly 4.3% to $183,600 in 2026, up from the 2025 wage base of $176,100, the Social Security Board of Trustees said in its 2025 annual report released June 18.
The report’s projections are based on intermediate assumptions set in December 2024, it said.
