Daylight saving time in the United States will end at 2 a.m. local time Nov. 2, and clocks will move back one hour to resume standard time.
The change may result in an extra hour of work for employees working an overnight shift, leading to unplanned overtime or extra compensation for employees covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act. Additional pay is required by law for covered employees who work an additional hour.
