Taiwan’s monthly minimum wage is to increase to NT$23,800 (U.S. $757.74) for 2020, up 3.03% from NT$23,100 (U.S. $735.46) for 2019, the Taiwan Ministry of Labor said Aug. 14 in a news release (Chinese).
The republic’s hourly minimum wage is to increase to NT$158 (U.S. $5.03) for 2020, up 5.33% from NT$150 (U.S. $4.78) for 2019, the ministry said.
Each of the minimum wage increases was calculated by Taiwan’s Basic Wages Review Committee.
