Tennessee Unemployment Taxes Unchanged for First Half of 2026

Tennessee’s unemployment insurance tax rates for experienced employers continue to be determined using Premium Rate Table 6 for the first half of 2026, according to an update on the Department of Labor and Workforce Development website.

Premium Rate Table 6 has tax rates ranging from 0.01% to 2.3% for positive-rated employers and from 5% to 10% for negative-rated employers. These rates apply to experienced employers from Jan. 1 to June 30, according to the website. Tennessee is the only state to determine unemployment tax rates on a semiannual basis.
