Utah’s unemployment insurance tax rates will be unchanged for 2024, according to a Nov. 13 update on the state Workforce Services Department website.
The tax rates for employers will range from 0.3% to 7.3%, including a social tax rate of 0.3%, according to the website. Tax rates for delinquent employers will also include a 1% additional surcharge.
The tax rate for out-of-state construction employers that begin operating in Utah will be 7.3%, including the 0.3% social tax rate. Tax rates for all other new employers will vary by industry group.
