Utah state government employees will be entitled to bereavement leave for miscarriages and stillbirths and paid parental and postpartum leave under three bills signed by Gov. Spencer Cox (R).
House Bill 449 and Senate Bill 63 will go into effect on May 4. Senate Bill 100 will go into effect on July 1.

State agencies, county governments, municipal governments, and the Utah Board of Higher Education will have to establish policies and rules entitling government employees to at least three days of paid bereavement leave because of a miscarriage or stillbirth, according to H.B. 449 and S.B. 63. ...
