Utah to Create Website for Reporting Potential Unemployment Fraud

Utah’s Workforce Services Department will develop a website to assist employers in detecting and reporting unemployment insurance fraud, under a bill that goes into effect May 1.

The website will contain resources for employers to understand the requirements individuals must meet to receive unemployment benefits, under HB 170. Employers will be able to report potential fraud via the website and directly communicate with the department’s Unemployment Insurance Division.
