Utah’s unemployment-taxable wage base is to be $41,600 for 2022, up from $38,900 in 2021, the state Department of Workforce Services said Nov. 17.
Effective Jan. 1, 2022, unemployment tax rates are to range from 0.3% to 7.3%, the department said on its website.
For 2022, the tax rate for new employers that are contractors with headquarters outside the state is to be 7.3%.
The tax rates include a social cost of 0.3% in 2022, up from 0.2% in 2021.
