Vermont’s hourly minimum wage will increase to $13.66 from $13.18 effective Jan. 1, 2024, according to an Oct. 10 press release from the state labor department.
The tipped minimum wage will also rise to $6.84, according to the press release. The announcement confirms Bloomberg Tax’s Sept. 14 tipped minimum wage calculations.
State law allows employers to pay the tipped minimum wage to employees who customarily and regularly receive more than $120 a month in tips.
Vermont has yet to release an updated minimum wage poster for 2024.
