Vermont Updates Unemployment Tax Rates Effective July 1

Vermont’s unemployment insurance tax rates for experienced employers will continue to be determined using Schedule I, according to the a quarterly newsletter from the Vermont Department of Labor.

Schedule I has tax rates ranging from 0.4% to 5.4%, according to the newsletter. The schedule will be in effect from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. Previously, it was also in effect for the period from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025.
