A Vietnam minimum wage decree increasing monthly minimum wages and specifying hourly minimum wages took effect July 1.
Decree No. 38/2022/NĐ-CP (Vietnamese) sets monthly minimum wages ranging from 3.25 million dong (U.S. $138.61) in Region 1 to 4.68 million dong in Region 4, up from a range of 3.07 million dong to 4.42 million dong. Hourly minimum wages range from 15,600 dong in Region 1 to 22,500 dong in Region 4.
Taxable wages for unemployment taxes are also calculated as 20 times the applicable monthly minimum wage.
