The hourly minimum wage in Washington will increase to $16.66 from $16.28 effective Jan. 1, 2025, the Labor and Industries Department said Sept. 30.
Employers may pay 85% of the minimum wage, which is $14.16, to employees ages 14 and 15 in 2025, according to the department’s press release.
The department also announced an increase to the state minimum salary threshold for overtime-exempt executive, administrative, and professional employees.
