Washington’s hourly minimum wage is expected to increase to $15.74 from $14.49 effective Jan. 1, 2023, according to Bloomberg Tax calculations.
The calculations were based on statutory requirements and federal Bureau of Labor Statistics data issued Sept. 13. The state does not have a separate minimum wage for tipped employees.
Washington is required to adjust the minimum wage for 2023 by Sept. 30, under state statutes.
