Amazon, Google Join Push to Unmask Litigation Funders in Court

More than 100 large companies are urging federal courts to pull back the curtain on outside funders backing lawsuits.

Amazon, Google, Johnson & Johnson, Exxon Mobil, and Ford Motor Co are among those who signed onto a Wednesday letter to the administrative office for the US courts. The companies want the courts’ rules committee to require litigation finance disclosures in federal civil cases.
