Amazon Shareholders Reject Union Rights, Climate Proposals (1)

Amazon.com Inc. investors on Wednesday voted against proposals calling on the company to provide more information to shareholders on its climate and union-rights commitments.

While several of the 18 shareholders proposals dealt with Amazon’s climate commitments, others focused on Amazon’s workforce, seeking diversity transparency and commitments on union rights. The proposals come as Amazon faces accusations of anti-union tactics amid a historic organizing effort at the ecommerce giant.
