BakerHostetler Adds Tax Partner McCormick to New York Practice

George McCormick has joined BakerHostetler as a partner in the tax practice group and member of the private wealth planning team in the New York office, the firm said Wednesday.

McCormick works on counseling fund principals with gifting fund interests, creating grantor-retained annuity trusts, intentionally defective grantor trusts, and charitable trusts, and advising on the use of life insurance strategies, said BakerHostetler.

He previously served at the Florida Department of Revenue where he concentrated on Florida tax and administrative matters, according to the firm.
