Bipartisan Bid to Nix Biden EV Tax Credit Rules Coming Soon (1)

A bipartisan group of lawmakers is seeking to overturn the Treasury Department’s electric vehicle tax credit rules—an effort that’s likely to succeed in both chambers.

Reps. Carol Miller (R-W.Va.) and Jared Golden (D-Maine) introduced the Congressional Review Act resolution in the House Thursday, and Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) introduced the measure in the Senate.

Manchin (D-W.Va.), long a critic of the Biden administration’s rule, said last week he was planning such a move. Sens. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), and Mike Braun (R-Ind.) also joined the Senate resolution.
