Debevoise & Plimpton has made Lena Smith a partner in the tax group in New York, the firm said Wednesday.

Smith advises clients on M&A transactions and in the formation of private equity funds, according to the firm.

Her partner appointment will be effective July 1, Debevoise & Plimpton said.
