David Pope has joined DLA Piper as a partner in the tax group in New York, the firm said Wednesday.
Pope focuses on state and local tax controversy, planning, and restructuring matters, according to DLA Piper.
He also defends clients in tax-related False Claims Act matters, DLA Piper said.
He works with companies involved in the retail, financial, insurance, telecommunications, and pharmaceutical industries, according to the firm.
