EU Presidency to Focus on Bill Simplifying Minimum Tax Filing

Incoming EU presidency Poland aims to progress a bill simplifying reporting obligations relating to the bloc-wide 15% minimum corporate tax rate.

The bill, known as DAC9 and proposed in October, would allow for the exchange of information between EU countries on their implementation of the global effective minimum tax.

It aims to make it easier for companies and tax administrations to comply with the requirements of the minimum tax, known as Pillar Two. It will allow companies to file only one top-up tax information return across the bloc, rather than per EU country where they do business.
