EU to Develop Policy Options for Global Minimum Tax Talks

EU ambassadors on Wednesday assigned high level representatives to develop policy options for future negotiations over the global minimum tax, according to people familiar with the matter.

High level representatives of EU countries will have a meeting on April 29 to discuss the tax before getting back to the ambassadors with the options, the people said.

The decision comes after more than 140 countries discussed the global tax deal in South Africa last week in a grouping known as the Inclusive Framework at the OECD. There, countries including the US promised to continue discussions around the deal, which ...
