Eversheds Sutherland Promotes Five Tax Attorneys

Five tax attorneys are among 20 attorneys who have been elevated to partner or counsel status at Eversheds Sutherland, the firm announced Tuesday.

Laura Taylor in Washington, D.C., has been promoted to partner. She focuses her practice on employee benefits and executive compensation matters, regularly counseling clients on compliance with the Internal Revenue Code and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

Jeremy P. Gove in New York has been promoted to counsel. He works with clients through various stages of multistate tax planning and structuring, state and local tax controversy, litigation, and policy matters.

Chelsea E. Marmor in New York has been promoted to counsel. She advises clients on a full range of state and local tax matters and represents clients in a variety of industries, including communications, technology, financial, transportation, and retail.

Laurin E. McDonald in Atlanta has been promoted to counsel. She advises clients on the complex issues of state taxation, with a focus on tax controversy and litigation.

John Ormonde in Washington, D.C., has been promoted to counsel. He advises clients on state and local tax controversy, planning, and policy matters across all types of taxes, including income, franchise, gross receipts, property, and sales and use taxes.

The promotions are effective as of Jan. 1, 2024, Eversheds Sutherland said.
