Jorge Medina has joined Vinson & Elkins as a partner in the tax practice, the firm said Thursday.
Medina represents sponsors and tax equity investors in solar, wind, energy storage, hydrogen, renewable natural gas, carbon capture, geothermal, biofuels, and electric vehicle transactions, according to Vinson & Elkins.
He was a partner at Shearman & Sterling in the project development and finance practices as well as head of renewables (Americas), Vinson & Elkins said. He also served as associate general counsel-tax at Tesla Inc.
