Nikki Dobay has joined Greenberg Traurig as a shareholder in the Portland, Ore., and Sacramento, Calif., offices as part of the state and local tax as well as government law and policy practices, the firm said Friday.

Dobay will focus on multistate tax issues and controversy matters and state and local tax policy matters from a government and legislative process perspective, according to Greenberg Traurig.

She formerly served as a partner at Eversheds Sutherland and a senior tax counsel at the Council on State Taxation. Dobay also co-founded Women in SALT, a networking group for women practitioners of state and local tax law, Greenberg Traurig said.
