Greenberg Traurig Welcomes National Private Wealth Team Trio

William M. Doyle, Lawrence M. Kern, and Eric C. Nelson have joined Greenberg Traurig, LLP from Winston & Strawn LLP as shareholders in Chicago, the firm said in a statement Tuesday.

Doyle advises clients on management succession planning, tax planning in anticipation of purchases, and divestitures of closely held businesses. He was Winston & Strawn’s trusts and estates practice chair.

Kern centers his practice in tax and estate planning, private equity and hedge fund principals, and charitable organizations. Nelson works with entrepreneurs and hedge fund managers to preserve wealth, manage business and wealth succession, and preserve charitable foundations, according to the firm.

Greenberg Traurig has more than 125 tax and estate planning lawyers in its private wealth services practice, the firm said.
