Jones Day partner David Grubman is heading to Sidley Austin to help lead the firm’s global mergers and acquisitions practice, according to two people familiar with the matter.
Grubman, based in Pittsburgh, has spent nearly 13 years at Jones Day and has been the M&A chair for the Americas region in the firm’s corporate practice. He represented equipment and services provider Evoqua Water Technologies Corp. in a $7.5 billion sale to Xylem Inc., and Archaea Energy Inc. founders in a $4.1 billion sale to BP Plc, according to his online profile.
