Len Nesbitt has joined McCarthy Tétrault as a partner in the national tax group in Toronto, the firm said Monday.
Nesbitt provides legal advice on the taxation of capital markets transactions and complex financial instruments as well as the taxation of financial institutions, according to the firm.
Nesbitt has also provided technical tax input and advice to Canadian banks and broker-dealers on tax litigation matters and tax audits by the Canada Revenue Agency, McCarthy Tétrault said.
