Miller Nash Recruits Craig Ashford as Tax Partner in Portland

Craig Ashford has joined Miller Nash in Portland, Ore., as a partner with the tax team, the firm said Monday.

Ashford, who previously served as in-house counsel for the University of Oregon, advises executive teams and boards of directors on areas such as legislation, tax compliance, and risk management, according to Miller Nash.

He has also worked in the Office of the Chief Counsel of the IRS, evaluating, preparing, and conducting investigations of tax-avoidance transactions with the Justice Department and tax-related litigation in US Tax Court, Miller Nash said.
